There can only be one winner...
One integral part of living on-hill is the Cleanest Room Competition. The contest, which runs every other Sunday, is extremely fierce and kicks even the messiest of room-mates into action. The prize for best room in the building is one week's free rent, and the prize for the best room on the mountain is two weeks free... So, along with many other residents of Sunburst, I spent a lot of time on Saturday hoovering, folding, washing and tidying until I thought our room was immaculate...
In the evening, I worked at Chimney Corner, which was serving the hotel at 100% capacity. A good job there was two of us... There was also a couple of musicians playing in the restaurant, and a huge range of instruments between them. Both of them had Tenor Saxophones, and after I'd finished we got chatting and they offered me to join them the next time they were playing (which was in about a month's time). It will be nice to get the old sax out of retirement again, the poor thing has been sitting under my bed for too long now...

Hey Ski Bum - glad to hear the lesson was enjoyable as well as extremely useful. The new technique will have you skiing all day and night soon - your poor family, how on earth are we going to keep up?...
So your gliding mag arrived safely - and has rekindled your thirst for soaring again, hmm well I expect after all that sun and snow you will be ready for the good old British weather and the odd perfect gliding day. We're just back from Yorkshire, where it was wonderfully windy and muddy and we even managed to experience a small earthquake last night.
I like the sound of the Tidy Room contest - no home should be without one. Good luck with your endeavours, hope you win!
Great to read your latest blogs, thank you. Till the next time then, All the best, xxx
