Up to my hips in Powder....

Saturday evening, the snow started. Wednesday, the snow stopped. 75cm in all! I had the opportunity for a ride break on Tuesday afternoon- I just did 1 run 3 times- but the snow was so deep and heavy it felt more like sprinting down the hill! You can throw yourself around in this stuff, it's not going to hurt in the slightest. My new skis performed fantastically, as always.

Snow fall, night and day...

Lots of fresh snow is always a source of amusement in the hot tub for everyone, so I was joined by lots of others diving (literally) into the fresh powder then diving (figuratively) back in the hot tub. Or floating icebergs around the hot tub. Or eating icicles (don't stab your tongue! It's sharp! And of course, snowballs a-plenty.

There's been a lot of avalanche blasting, but the powder meant that Lookout mountain was fully open on Thursday, and Goat's Eye opened up on Friday. So now there's loads of terrain for us to enjoy, and Sunshine is finally charging people full price for their lift tickets.
