Okay. Admittedly I haven't written anything for a while. This is because I've been stuck at Banff Springs, which has no internet access unless you're willing to walk around the complex, pausing in awkward positions and places while leeching onto a transient signal of a router who's rich owner hasn't secured yet.

Apart from lack of internet, Banff Springs hasn't been too fun a place to live. Yes, it has a kitchen, is nice and quiet and my roommate is certainly considerate, but it's a long walk to Banff, I can't use my bike because the back streets leading to and fro aren't the priority for snow clearing and gritting. There's no communal kithen, no TV, in fact no social life at all. My only entertainment while staying in has been cooking, and there's only so many variations of stir fry that take my fancy (and I'm not likely to obliterate)... And there's still a 20 minute bus ride to and from work every day!

So I've been doing my absolute best to find somewhere more centralised, more sociable and maybe even more affordable, in central Banff. So far, although I've got a few spies who will contact me as soon as somewhere becomes available, I've been unsuccessful. So I guess I'll be sticking it out here until I find somewhere better...
