Erm.... What are you doing here?

Wednesday- first day of work, or so I assumed. My boss, Shannon, was quite surprised to see me there a day early... Anyway, I couldn't go back to the Springs, since there were no more buses and even the gondola was only working spasmodically, so I found stuff to do. I shovelled some snow, I had some free hot chocolate (the coffee shop people 'needed practice').

Lunch, unusually, was in the expensive restaurant in the hotel, with some sample dishes being brought in this year (the chefs needed practice too, apparently..). Next I went back outside to set up some ski racks, had some hot chocolate, cleared some decking, drank some more hot chocolate, then sat in the hotel in front of the fire, with some more hot chocolate. By then, I'd wasted enough time to warrant heading back down the gondola and hopping on the bus back to Banff.
