Bingo!

In Banff, every Thursday the Bingo hall is where you will find everyone. Young or old, rich or poor, Aussie or Brit (there are no real Canadians here...), we all pay to sit together and cross of numbers as they are read out in the hope we might get our money back. I'd never done it before, other than in French lessons to practice our numbers, but I soon found there was no skill to it and you can therefore do it while getting drunk, which seems to be the main aim and the numbers purely an excuse.

Needless to say, I didn't win anything; no-one on our table did. I did feel sorry though for the lady who bought 10 cards and 6 sheets of 'jackpot' rounds, and still suffered the same fate as me. These above were my babies... There was about 150 people or more playing in the Legion.

Banff is quite pretty at night, even with no visible mountain backdrop.

I retired to the SameSun for my last night there.
