Banff Springer!
Today, after a nice lazy start and a vow to update my blog, I cycled to Banff Springs and signed in. I was allocated a flat in none other than the building named Bourgeau, with another Sunshine employee.
A nice building, our flat has a large open plan lounge, kitchen and bedroom (?!), with a fridge, stove, sofa and storage. We've also got a large closet each, and a nice bathroom with shower. I've not met my roommate yet, but I'll be dropping off my stuff this evening and will hopefully catch him then.
I went to the Keg, spoke to Mark the kitchen manager, and explained my predicament. He said it was not a problem at all, and that I should just let him know when I'm living a bit closer and he'll start to give me some more shifts. Result!
I packed up my stuff ready for transfer tonight (my room mate is helping me with his car), and then I sat down to update my blog. I'm still here, 1 1/2 hours later...
Tomorrow, I will go and cash in my Keg paycheck (yesss!), move out of the SameSun, and then head over to John's house in Okotoks. My roomate is going to Calgary tomorrow evening to stay with his brother, and I've managed to bag myself a seat! He was kind enough to offer to take me straight to Okotoks too.
This weekend, with any luck, I might go gliding again... In any case, I'll be relaxing until I come back here for the start of the Sunshine season next Thursday. Oh, but I need some bedding. And some winter boots. And some more trousers. And a webcam....

Loved the blog updates thankyou. All sounds soo interesting and I am really pleased you are having a few days well deserved break after a very busy time. The new flat sounds good and I trust you will find yourself with some considerate flatmates. I do hope you manage to glide this weekend if its feasible. Dad will be sending you a copy of the press report in this weeks' Journal, Mr C Field is featured in the Gliding piece and reads very well - makes us so proud of your successes there. Hope you have a good time with John and the lads, no doubt you will be doing quite bit of shopping and I hope you get sorted in Okotoks.
All's fine this end, had a great time with Jayne and Barbs. Since then, things have continued with the groundworks etc, etc. Now we are preparing for Nan and Stan who are coming for a couple of days next week. The weather has been very dry and mild but now it is windy and decidely chilly again (not of course, anything like your climate).
Will be in touch over the weekend, I am sure. Till then, take care and have fun.

That all sounds very nice, @ dad, I hope that I get more than a sofa with all this money that Colin is earning!
colin, you seem to really be doing well, i'll leave you to your room transfer and i'll speak to you on email when you send a reply to some of the q's in my comments, look forward to hearing from you,
