Fantastic Film Festival and Endlessly Easy Earning
Last night, we all went to the Banff Centre to watch this year's Radical Reels production. A combination of about 10 videos of extreme mountain sports from around the world, it included skiing, boarding, paragliding, mountain biking and kayaking. In the main theatre was a live presenter and lots of people involved in the making of the films; this was Simulcast to our theatre live. I bought my ticket early, so got a ticket to the live theatre, but swapped this with someone else so I could go to the simulcast theatre with the rest of the group.
Free shuttle home!
Back into work today; a pretty easy morning with only 11 people coming in for breakfast. I prepared some food as well as did the washing up, and left early at 12:10. But because it was so quiet, the manager provided us with food (I had eggs benedict!), hot chocolate and freshly baked croissants...
I'm going to have a nap now before I head into town this evening for the Hallowe'en festivities. Rich and I are going as 'injured people'- we picked up $1 crutches at the jumble sale as well as some old sheets to rip up and ketchupate. There's cheap drinks all over town, including $3 Jagerbombs at a local pub. And at least we've the crutches to aid us back to the SS!
Work again tomorrow- with any luck, it'll be much the same as today but with a even later start!
In the mean time, the SameSun roof is getting renovated. Wooden tiles are very popular here; the expensive ones last 25 years, the cheap ones have to be replaced every 5...

Great pictures Colin! Was starting to wonder what Banff looked like, even if your descriptions paint a pretty good picture as it is. Glad to hear your work is going well, I know mone is, what did you get up to for Halloween? Trekked up Grouse Mountain the other day, and I'm still nursing blisters!
